Jamie Sirkin stands as a nationally acclaimed summer camp director and child well-being advocate, bringing a wealth of management, development, and leadership experience to the table. Jamie’s experience includes over 25 years of dedicated service in the camp industry, over a decade as a servant to public health and she is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
Jamie possesses an extensive knowledge base and exceptional execution skills spanning all facets of the camp industry. From day and overnight programs to staff and camper recruitment, Jamie has demonstrated exceptional expertise. Her skillset is vast including but not limited to; training, retention, community outreach, program development, marketing, and risk management. Jamie has played a pivotal role in shaping the camp experience. Her involvement includes holding board positions at the American Camp Association New York-New Jersey Section, the Westchester Board of Health, and the State Camp Safety Advisory Committee.
Jamie is a dedicated advocate for the camp industry, contributing to national, state and local conversations and initiatives. Jamie's long standing track record is marked by the creation of emotionally and physically safe spaces. Leveraging a deep understanding of public health, Jamie ensures compliance with all required safety standards, creating a secure and enriching experience for every participant. Her passion for creating positive, transformative experiences has left an indelible mark on the lives of countless campers, staff and families.
As a seasoned professional and Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Jamie's skills extend beyond the logistical aspects of camp management to a profound understanding of child development, with a specific concentration on mental health and social-emotional well-being. This unique blend of skills enables Jamie to create an environment that goes beyond the ordinary, fostering the holistic growth of every participant (including the camper, the staff, the family and the camp community at large). As a camp lifer, it was important to Jamie and her husband Dave that their two daughters got to take advantage of the wonderful gift of camp. Jamie continues to inspire her family and community with an unwavering commitment to the magic of summer camp and the well-being of every child.
